Origin
It is a marvelous Kazak carpet that was made in northern Afghanistan, where people have been engaged in weaving for centuries. It is made by talented artisans with the help of ancient methods. Therefore, it determines the cultural diversity of the Caucasus. Its size is ideal for use in decorating home libraries, entrances, or personal areas that can be accented with a touch of heritage.
Materials
They are woven of 100 percent hand-spun wool, dyed with eco-friendly vegetable dyes, to create the perfect use of both sustainability and lasting beauty. The plant-based pigments give the palette a soft but glowing feel, el which is achieved by the lustrous texture as a result of the natural fibers. As it is designed to last, this rug is comfortable and has integrity in every knot.
Design
The octagon medallion with an ivory fill and red outlines is rather discernible in the middle of the steel blue field, with various geometric decorative elements surrounding it: rectangles, hooked patterns, S-figures, as well as stylized rosettes. The outer border is made of ivory and is ornamented with green and red tribal arrows and comb ornaments, and the whole is surrounded by a narrow red guard border.
Craftsmanship
The precision knotted by hand, the artisan paid attention to the symmetry, pattern clarity, and durability of the structure. The knots are packaged tightly into each other, which makes the rug quite stable and strong in graphics. True craftsmanship in all the details lies in the clarity of design and the vibrancy of the color.
Heritage
This rug, as a piece of design, can be dated back to the mountains of the Caucasus; this rug has a story of its own with its motifs, the use of octagons to signify balance, the comb to offer protection, the S-motif to signify continuity, and angular guards used to offer strength. Every icon is mimicking nomadic culture, built into a working artifact of folk art.
A tribal masterpiece from Afghanistan, this Kazak rug blends geometric elegance, ancestral storytelling, and natural materials—ideal for thoughtful, character-rich interiors.
