Origin
This original Kazak carpet has been produced in the northern part of Afghanistan, where the art of hand-knotting of carpets has been handed down through generations. Based on antique Caucasian tribal carpets, this work is an amalgamation of tradition and stability--suitable in contemporary interiors that are aiming at personality, whether used in small apartments or hung as a wall-to-wall.
Materials
The rug is made in hand-knotted quality out of 100 percent hand-spun wool, dyed naturally with pigments of plant products. Sustainable fabrics provide true-to-life colors, producing a soft and robust pile that softens gracefully with time. It is designed with environmental sensitivity, and it bestows fine quality and a warm underfoot sensation.
Design
A very precisely carved diamond-shaped medallion is featured over a pale slate blue ground with tiny tribal stars, cross-shaped devices, and very ancient styled S shapes. The design is exhibited in a frame with two borders, a deep red inside and a creamy one outside, with stylized botanical and geometrical drawings which give the design a strong cultural symbolism and symmetry.
Craftsmanship
The rug is hand-knotted with high-knot density, carefully to show accuracy and art. The knots are packed closely so that there is structural integrity and fine detailing as well. It has a consistent, restrained pattern and warming color schemes, as well as balanced texture, which signifies the perfectionism and strong culture of craftsmanship of the artisan.
Heritage
This carpet is a reflection of the nomadic aesthetic and mythical narrative of Central Asian tribes. The diamond medallion represents some protective meaning, stars portray the cosmic guidance, and the shape of the letter S is a symbol of endless cycles. Combined, these symbols create a story that never changes, which is why this rug is not mere decoration; furthermore, it is a symbol of cultural heritage and existence.
A rich, artisan-made Kazak rug steeped in Afghan tradition—ideal for adding warmth, character, and symbolic artistry to intimate spaces.
