Origin
Expert artisans knot this rug by hand in the north of Afghanistan, and it has been influenced by hundreds of years of Persian influence. The floral motifs are decorated in the details observed in generations of old Mughal gardens. This item is a classic blend of ancient artistry and modern design due to the craftsmanship and good pattern work.
Materials
This rug is handmade of Ghazni wool. Also, using natural pigments of indigo, pomegranate, and saffron for rug dyeing. The fine wool is luxuriously soft, and the colors mature gracefully with age. Plant-derived dyes provide environmental awareness and a smooth color shift.
Design
The earth is painted on a pale blue ground with soft ivory and pastel flowers, with scrolling vines, palmettes, and the same compositional structure, framed by a showy red and gold large blossom in the center. The decorative border is composed of vineyards and flower rosettes in lilac, navy, and sage-sage-sage-sage-this is a delicate, free-flowing frame.
Craftsmanship
The rug is Russian hand-knotted entirely on upright looms with a medium density of knotting, both in clarity and in comfort. Master level detailing with hand finishing, clean fringe, and even pile height. It is a solid and elegant object, intended for day-to-day panache and structural form.
Heritage
This kind of floral rug reminds us of centuries of Persian and Central Asian traditions of poetic weaving, where each flower and each curve has the meaning of growth, balance, and peace. By keeping these motifs alive, Afghan craftsmen carry on a cultural tradition that is based on nature, beauty, and intentional craftsmanship of art.
Where soft blue skies meet blooming tradition—crafted by hand, made to calm and captivate.
