Origin

Master artisans hand-wove their rug in Northern Afghanistan using centuries-old Caucasian and Persian stripe themes. Materials

The rug is hand-woven in 100 per cent spun Ghazni wool and uses natural pigments in the dye, including madder root, walnut hus,k, as well as pomegranate rind. The botanical colors produce nice, bright tones that do not fade, and it is still environmentally friendly. It is chemical-free, biodegradable; the dense and soft pile is designed to last generations with little wear.

Design

It was painted in alternating vertical bands of ivory, crimson, gold and moss green, with elaborate hooked diamond, zigzags and floral rosettes.
