Origin

The Northern Afghanistan weaving workshops are the home of this runner because the craftsmen still practice the Sultani weaving. It is inspired by Persian symbolism, and its tree-of-life style represents development, balance and continuation. Materials

The rug is woven out of 100 per cent spun Ghazni wool and would be durable, soft and possess natural resilience. The base of midnight-black and the floral motifs are stained with the help of natural extracts, i.e. indigo, walnut husk, and madder root. The result is deep, long-lasting colour carried out in an environmentally friendly manner, and the magnolian pile can be guaranteed to age beautifully to maintain its vibrancy.

Design

The runner's main field has a trees-of-life motif and vines, and floral sprays and blossoms, with multiple levels of geometrical border framing edges. Dark black background is filled with light by subtle red, turquoise, saffron and ivory tinges. Craftsmanship
