Origin

This Waziri rug has been made by a master weaver in Northern Afghanistan and is connected with tribal design tradition reaching back into the nomadic heritage. Materials

The rug is made of 100 per cent Ghazni wool, which has been hand-spun, creating its unparalleled durability and natural radiance. Organic pigments, dyed with madder to provide reds, indigo bringing blues and walnut providing browns, the palette is not only fade-proof, but also eco-perfect. After a period of time, the wool becomes soft, adding comfort and depth, and staying ethical, sustainable and biodegradable.

Within the golden sand ground, it has a grid of octagonal emerald, navy, rust, and ivory medallions with angular tribal borders. Details of small arrow and flower anti-images are put in negative spaces, because they represent movement and vitality. Craftsmanship

All the knots are put together with a meticulous touch that results in acute geometry and intense colours.
